What if I lose a piercing stud within the first 6 weeks?

Although it doesn't happen very often, occasionally a backing may fall off and go unnoticed long enough for the earring to then fall out. We strongly advise clients to ALWAYS have a backup earring available immediately during THE ENTIRE FIRST YEAR of the piercing to avoid closure of the hole. If a piercing stud falls out, it is best to replace it with a Blomdahl earring since they will be made of the same medical-grade materials as the piercing studs and therefore do not need to be rotated as they continue to heal. (Do not attempt to reinsert the sharp, pointy piercing stud as you will likely damage the delicate skin inside the new piercing.)
