How long should I wear the piercing studs?
For medical-grade materials such as medical-grade titanium or medical-grade plastic, we recommend that you wear your piercing studs for a minimum of 6 weeks and a maximum of 8 weeks. Since these are piercing studs with slightly thicker posts than regular earrings, they should be permanently removed after the initial 6-8 week healing period. Once the piercing studs are removed, the piercing begins to shrink to accommodate regular size posts.
For gold piercing studs earrings can be worn indefinitely. The posts are thinner and do not need to be removed. If you do choose to change your earrings, we recommend that you wait at least 5-6 weeks.
